December 5 – A Visit that Changed Everything

Join us for Morning Worship as Pastor Reigle begins a series of sermons titled “A Doctor’s Portrait of the Nativity.”  The first of these is titled “A Visit that Changed Everything” and is based on Luke 1:26-38.  In this sermon Pastor Reigle will address these questions:
— What is this passage of Scripture sometimes called?
— Why was God’s selection of Nazareth as the home of the Son of God unusual?
— Why was the choice of a young woman like Mary to be the mother of God’s Son so bizarre?
— Despite what three concerns did Mary surrender/submit to God’s will?
— Mary submitted to God’s will by faith.  What is one way that faith can be described?
— Mary experienced the grace of God (v. 30).  How do we experience God’s grace?
— Have you done so?  Are you doing so?
