July 13 – The Sermon on the Mount – Part 1

In Morning Worship Pastor Reigle will begin a new series of messages that focus on the Sermon on the Mount. The first of these is based on Matthew 4:12-17. We will be guided in answering these questions:
— What did Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the Lutheran Pastor who defied Hitler in the 1930s, believe about the Sermon on the Mount?
— In Matthew, particularly the Sermon on the Mount, what will we see the Church doing?
— What prophecy does Matthew 4:13 fulfill?
— As Jesus commenced His ministry, to what did He call people?
— To what does He still call people (you and me) today?
— How are we answering?
