November 9 – International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

In Morning Worship we will take time to consider the suffering of persecuted Christians throughout the world. Pastor’s Reigle’s message is titled “Don’t Stand in Silence” and is based on 1 Peter 1:1-25. He will guide us in answering these questions:
— What event 80 years ago on December 8 sent shock waves around the world?
— What is unique about the persecution of Christians that we are seeing today?
— This is even though 25 years ago today an event occurred that opened the gospel to previously closed countries. What was that event?
— Why may persecution be increasing today?
— How can we avoid persecution?
— How do we prepare for persecution?
— How do we handle persecution?
— Why should we not fear it?
