September 4 – Set Apart … by Faith – Part 1

Second Corinthians 5:7 states that we are to “live by faith not by sight.” What does this mean and how are we to do it? This week we begin a series of messages looking at Hebrews 11, the “Hall of Fame of Faith.” This fascinating chapter in the New Testament presents men and women as dedicated participants in life who achieved the Lord’s desire for them because of their faith in Him and their obedience to His Word.

The first message in the series is titled “A Dynamic Description” and focuses on Hebrews 11:1-3. Pastor Reigle will guide us in answering these questions:
— How can this chapter be compared with sports halls of fame?
— How can it be contrasted with halls of fame?
— How does the author of Hebrews present Old Testament men and women of faith?
— Of the Old Testament believers listed in Hebrews 11, what is not recorded about them? Why?
— What are some ways we can describe biblical faith?
