Picture Us

… to get to know us, for sometimes a picture is worth more than a thousand words …

For us, faith is not a stale thing — nor was the food.

Our Church “Pumpkins” for 2025

Halloween 2025

The day known as Halloween has Christian roots, originating as “All Hallows’ Eve,” the night before All Saints’ Day and then All Souls’ Day which commemorate the saints and the faithful departed. However, it also incorporates elements from ancient Celtic pagan festivals, making its classification as a purely Christian holiday complex. So we used that “complexity”, which draws out others who need to hear the word, to our advantage.

Ultimately, we served over 380 kids and families.  In so doing, we shared the Gospel and invited the neighborhood to church on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m.   Ultimately, it was a beautiful night for all in more than one way.

Election Day 2025

We serve our community in many ways.  Our election day “booth” as approved by the judge of elections, Steve.  Many came by and were treated — and invited to visit our church on Sundays.  And no, our pastor and Ehren are not exhausted from eating the candy that remained.

Christmas 2025

The “Blessings Bag” Crew, March 2026

Their kindness in action is in the true spirit of the Evangelical Congregational Church and, moreover, Lent.  As someone once wrote, Lent is not just about giving things up—it’s about making space for love, generosity, and kindness.
They shall remain nameless except unto God at the present, for not seen, but also not to be forgotten, are those generous souls who donated the contents of these “help packages” meant to be distributed in the community in which we reside as a church.  This is part of our response towards helping those who have fallen on hard times of late and live on Allentown’s West Side.  Besides, such acts are of a higher level when done anonymously.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026

After church services on March 22, Jill, Pastor Thad and Wayne gave out bags of popcorn and water, had productive conversations with our neighbors, had some inquiries about our church, handed out Bibles. We even had a person put a prayer request in the mailbox. Many kids came to the table. This is one way for us to plant “seeds”.  God is awesome!
