Shown is the “Blessings Bag” Crew working after church services on 1 March 2026. Their kindness in action is in the true spirit of the Evangelical Congregational Church and, moreover, Lent. As someone once wrote, Lent is not just about giving things up—it’s about making space for love, generosity, and kindness.
They shall remain nameless except unto God at the present, for not seen but also not to be forgotten are those souls who donated so generously to the contents of these “help packages” meant to be distributed in the community in which we reside as a church. This is part of our response toward helping those who have fallen on hard times of late and live on Allentown’s West Side. Besides, such acts are of a higher level when done anonymously.
