In Morning Worship Pastor Reigle will introduce a series of sermons from the book of Habakkuk. The initial message is a preview of the book and is titled “From Worry to Worship.” We will consider the following:
— It’s comprised of only three chapters and 56 verses. Of those 56 verses, one of them is quoted three times in the New Testament.
— Its name is difficult to pronounce, and its approach to God is a challenging one.
— Among its questioning of the plans and purposes of God is a statement of faith that’s an incredible assurance of Almighty God. It’s a dramatic dependence on God in troublesome times.
— Habakkuk’s relevance to our times, our nation, and our church is remarkable.
— We will consider Habakkuk’s perplexities and also pray his prayer, which is one of the most captivating of the 650 prayers found in the Bible.
— We will find that Habakkuk addresses a modern myth many Christians seek to embrace. Habakkuk will shatter that distorted teaching confronting it with biblical truth.
— As a result, we’ll be challenged, convicted, and changed by God through the Prophet Habakkuk.
— Along with Habakkuk, we’ll journey from worry to worship.
