In Morning Worship Pastor Reigle will begin a brief “Tour of the Psalms” that will take us to Psalms 1, 19, 62, 91, 110, 119, and 150. Two of those Psalms dwell on the Word of God, and one is the most quoted Psalm in the New Testament. We will rediscover that Psalms is a most practical book. It’s always been a blessing and a benediction to God’s people as they walk, worship, and work through life. There are no clichés in the Psalms. Instead, they meet us where we are, and they take us by the Holy Spirit where we need to be. The Psalms mirror life as it is presenting us with the whole drama of humanity. Every emotion with which God has created us can be found and addressed by the Psalm writers.
Pastor Reigle’s first message in this series will cover Psalms 1 and 150 and will guide us in answering these questions:
— How can Psalm 1 be described?
— How can Psalm 150 be described?
— Which is believed to be the oldest Psalm of the 150?
— Which may have been the last Psalm to be penned?
— How does the Daily Walk Study Bible title Psalms 1-6?
— How does it title Psalms 146-150
— How does Psalm 1 relate to Yogi Berra of famed New York Yankees?
— How does Psalm 150 relate to the German composer George Frederic Handel?
— What does Psalm 1 call us to choose?
— What does Psalm 150 offer us?
— Have you chosen that path of Psalm 1? Are you regularly following the counsel of Psalm 150?
