Those who pay tithing
are close to God above,
when we add a fast offering
we are blessed with His love.

We are taking from God
when we don’t pay our share,
if we hold back our dollars
He is very much aware.

Some have overcome debt
when it’s put in God’s hands,
ten percent of our earnings
the heart understands.

If we put God before others
and give Him what we owe,
we will receive blessings
and our testimony will grow.

For everyone it’s different
and the rich may pay more,
it can become a struggle
for those that are poor.

When money is scarce
there are some that fear,
“How will our family survive
the struggle that’s near?”

Pay tithing and pray
through the tears that you cry,
some how we get through
and God helps us get by.

When almost to nothing
you know God is there,
with blessings of love
for the tithing we share.
